Dennis G. at Balloon Juice is on the mark in my opinion. I'm not jumping up and down at every decision made by the President but all I have to do is go on any right wing site and start reading the comments to realize how imperative a Democratic victory is in 2012. These right wing nuts who pretend to be the most patriotic Americans are literally insane and in reality dangerous to the welfare of this United States. They are the biggest threat to democracy since the Civil War, in my opinion. They're proving it right this moment by passing voting laws, in 32 Republican controlled states, aimed at discouraging voting(the larger the voter turnout the greater the chance of a Democratic victory). I intend to encourage everyone I can to vote a straight Democratic ticket this election. And as far as Nader and the rest of his spoilers, I intend to just ignore them and ask every person I can to do the same. Now please read Dennis G's excellent assessment of this band of egotistical idiots next at the link:

Another Example of the Non Existent "tea party"
Heather at Crooks and Liars does an excellent job proving my point on my last blog, that the "tea party" is nothing but a re-branding of a failed Republican Party with an insatiable lust for blood. Check it out at this link:

David Gregory Gives Mitch McConnell a Pass on Rebuking Debate Audience's Bloodlust Reaction
Don't you just hate that damn "liberal" lamestream media? They constantly prove how biased they are each time they relentlessly grill a Conservative brave enough to appear on any network other than their own "Fox News Show" channel. For example, watch how David Gregory on NBC's Meet the Press continues to press poor Mitch McConnell over the Republican audience's reaction to Jim oops! Rick Perry proudly anouncing his death penalty count and over allowing a man to die because he's uninsured:
The ghoulish response from this audience sent chills up my spine, but I guess it didn't bother Gregory too much because he certainly didn't find it important to follow up on McConnell's "I'm too busy obstructing the President's plans so he won't be reelected, to bother with rebuking my own party's blood lust reactions. Gregory asked McConnell for his response to the audience:

GREGORY: Does the audience response in both cases trouble you as a Republican?
This makes me wonder how this so called "liberal" media would react to any Democrat who completely avoided answering for a Progressive audience hooten and holleren over an answer to a question dealing with abortion. Democrats would never hear the end of it.MCCONNELL: Look, we have a lot of people running for president. There are going to be a lot of debates, a lot of things said, a lot of audience reactions. I don't have any particular reaction to what's going on in Republican's campaign for president right now. I've got a big job to do trying to help turn this country around and working with a president who I believe has been doing all of the wrong things.

Could Republicans/Conservatives be Insane?
Yesterday, Speaker of the House John Boehner gave what was suppose to be the Republican "jobs plan". Boehner regurgitated the same old "trickle down" deregulation garbage Republicans began spouting religiously since Ronald Reagan brought it back from the trash heap of failed Republican policies. Bush Jr. put this "plan" in overdrive and gave us the worst economy since the Great Depression and lost 22 million jobs in the process. Furthermore, Boehner spent most of the time deriding President Obama's real plan for putting people back to work and bringing financial relief to middle class families who have suffered the most under Republican "leadership". When the Speaker finished lambasting the President's plan, all he offered from Republicans were the same failed ideas that almost ruined this country in every way possible. Deregulation is what caused the financial collapse, yet the GOP still thinks Wall Street if left alone will police itself??? Cutting taxes on the wealthy and large corporations has been tried time and again and has done nothing but make the rich richer while devastating the middle class. Boehner's "plan" has not only created no new jobs but has in effect caused this country to lose millions of them. Come on people, Boehner's "jobs plan" are the same failed policies George W. Bush & co. stole from previous Republican regimes. In effect, if the definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result, then Republicans fit the definition of insane. It's time Americans stop falling for them and the politicians who espouse them. Stop the insanity and tell your Congressman to Pass the President's Job Plan.

Eugene Robinson Tells The Truth About the GOP's Reaction to President's Speech
Washington Post's Eugene Robinson tells it like it was during the President's speech to Congress and the American people. Republicans will never even consider spending on anything but the military. Boehner, Cantor, et.al. know they have to at least appear not to be the "just say no" party they are in reality. Helping those who need jobs might make the President look good. And they'll have none of that even if it means taking the majority of the country down with him. These Republicans may claim to love America and they're the first ones to brag about their patriotism yet they're the most unpatriotic people in the country. Please check Robinson's excellent commentary on this at the link below:

Video: "The Fox New's Show" Trotta Questions Obama's Sanity!
The same channel that allowed Glenn Beck free reign to spread an abundance of insane conspiracy theories and the same channel that continually allows crackpots like Pamela Gellar and David Horowitz among many to promote their insanity on what they claim is a legitimate news channel (lol) now have the audacity to question the Presidents sanity. Watch Trotta on "The Fox News Show" question whether Obama'a Job's Plan questions the President's sanity:

In a movie, set in New York City, the World Trade Center always found it's a way into the skyline. The sight of that city's most famous skyscrapers, like a shot of the Statue of Liberty, left no doubt: This is New York City. Megyn Kelly posed an interesting question on "The Fox News Show" channel recently. Interesting to anyone imbecilic enough to believe anything coming out of the mouth of the second dumbest female (the first is the same channel's AM bubble head), on the dumbest channel in history?
Jee Megyn, I dunno??? Does it matter that you're dumb enough to ask the dumbest question in teevee history??? Well, let's see- Do you still think President Georgie Boy did a great jobruining running this country???

Video: Republican Congressman Confronted by Voters at Townhall
There seems to be a lot of this going around these days.
When Tea Party Republicans are being challenged all over the country by angry constituents willing to pay their fair share in taxes if only corporations and the super rich do the same, it's time someone pays attention. Hey Republicans, the games are over. So who's it going to be: Grover Norquest and the fat cats on Wall Street or the American People?

Video: Ron Reagan gives Great Response to Santorum's Paper Towels aren't Napkins Metaphor
Ron Reagan recently guest hosted for Hardball's Chris Matthews. In this video Reagan shows why he and not his idiot father President Reagan is the real "great communicator", by destroying presidential hopeful and the rest of the homophobes argument against gay marriage. Santorum who once infamously claimed homosexuality leads to man on dog sex outdid himself, at a campaign event, by attempting to point out that napkins are obviously not paper towels. That's news to the millions of Americans who load up on paper towels everyday and routinely use them interchangeably with napkins. Most American families I suspect are more like my own and purchase actual napkins only once in a while for special occasions. Santorum's family may use "proper napkins on a daily basis which only proves how rich elites such as himself who have never understood middle class Americans and therefore have no idea how to govern the 99% of us who care less about how you label a napkin vs a paper towel and more about which works best. After calling attention to Santorum's ridiculed napkin/paper towel debate, Reagan gives the best argument there is to the gay marriage leads to legalizing polygamy, marriage to animals, sisters, fathers and other despicable liberal mischief. So next time a friend or family member tries this ridiculous argument on you remember this video:
Video: Don't Let Republicans Ruin the American Dream-Vote Democrat in 2012
This is a video released by Democracy for America. Please watch:
Must-Read Krugman: GOP is Now “Aggressively Anti-Science, Indeed Anti-Knowledge,” Which Should “Terrify Us.”
This is a must read for anyone in the least bit concerned, not only about the United States, but for the world we all must live on. My greatest fear is those ,(myself included), Progressives not entirely satisfied with President Obama's job performance will use the 2012 election to voice our displeasure. The problem is not that Progressives fail to vote Democrat when they are unhappy with the Democratic party as a whole but that we fail to energize those who won't necessarily show up at the poles without our work and encouragement. The midterm elections in 2010 are just a tiny example of what Republicans will do to the whole country if given another proverbial bite of the apple. Ohio, Michagin, Wisconsin, Florida, etc... are all suffering terribly due to Republican control. Women's rights, Union rights, unemployment and widespread corruption have already been seen in all of these GOP held states. Now imagine our country subjected to the same type of abuses 1ooo times over. Imagine what will become of our own planet if Republicans are allowed to ravage what's left of it's natural resources while completely denying the effects humans create to climate change. I worry my own children and their future children trying to survive in a world we have created unlivable through our own greed, denial and ignorance. President Obama and the Democratic party may not be perfect but it is our job to continue to push them in to action or we will all face devastating consequences. George W. Bush and his Republican cronies pretend they have something new to offer Americans but the truth is obvious. They came very close to completely destroying this country in every way possible and now in reality they are only asking us for a chance to finish the job.
